From Canada comes LE CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, the great visual nouveau circus with a huge new show written and created for the occasion and presented as a world-wide sneak preview the night of December 5th in Lecce.
4 other important dates, produced and directed by Artscena, will be happening during the same weekend.
In Foggia, also on December 5th, the French company, LES FARFADAIS, are set to parade. This young company has already influenced the realm of nouveau cirque with a unique style of music, huge costumes and acrobatics that have made them famous world over.
Meanwhile in Brindisi, on December 6, the great French street theatre company, TRANSE EXPRESS, will sweep through the urban setting with there spectacular creations, bravery, acrobtics, music, and fire that have made internationally known.
On December 7 the parade will be next in Bari and Taranto simultaneously, two citiies that will becoming the exclusive stages of two theatrical renowned Catalonian theatre comapanies. In Bari, on the streets of the old city, ELS COMEDIANTS, will march forth with a rowdy colorful firework-filled parade.
Meanwhile in Taranto will be LA FURA DELS BAUS, acting as a catalyst for the urban scene with its oversized theatre games and giant stage elements that have made them synonimous with the new Avant Guarde.
A schedule of the highest artistic level and of extraordinary cultural depth is promised by the Region of Puglia’s Department of Tourism and Artscena, for years an agency for shows that pays particular attention to inovative international artisic expression.
